At times, we have to take the unknown route or travel to unknown places.

Rapists are sexual predators. They are nothing like humans.
It is important to make sensible decisions and avoid unwanted situations.
2. Know the route if you are travelling to an unsafe place.
Travelling to a new place might involve taking a lonely road.
With all the technologies at your disposal, it is smart to check the route. Read a few reviews on the net. If the route seems eerie, then make arrangements of your safety.
After all, your safety is your first responsibility.
Always note the number of the vehicle you are boarding. Share the details with someone over the phone. So, even the driver knows that his details are being traced.
3. Learn some kind of self-defense tactics.
Learning self-defense is no more an extra curriculum skill. It is a survival skill in this modern day.
Learning a few basic self defense tricks can prove to be life-saving.
Be it karate, martial arts or Kalaripayattu! Enroll your name along with your kid’s. It can save both your lives!

4. Always carry some kind of sharp objects at your hands reach.
Be it a foldable knife or a nail cutter! A sharp cut distracts the predator giving you time to escape the scene.
Always carry a sharp object in your purse when travelling. If you have long nails then learn to use them for self-defense.

5. Danger in a life? Press all buttons!
Most of the time, women get the instinct when she is in danger. If any such situation arises in the lift then press all the buttons until the destination.
If you need to reach the 13th floor, press all the buttons up to your destination. No one will dare attack you in a lift that stops on every floor.
6. When you are alone in the house, run into the kitchen.
You know where the chilli powder and turmeric are kept. And where the knives and plates are.

Enter a shop or a house or go inside an ATM box. ATM centres always have close circuit television. Fearing identification, no one will dare attack you.
10. If the driver takes a wrong turn, use your dupatta or the handle of your purse to choke him.
Use the handle of your purse or your stole to wrap around his neck. And then pull him back.
This will make him choke instantly.
In case you don’t have a purse or stole just pull him back by his collar. The top button of his shirt would then do the same trick.
