Ayurvedic treatment for Bronchitis

Dr. Brahmanand Nayak

Inflammation in the mucus membrane of the lungs is known as Bronchitis. Due to the inflammation the membrane narrows and closes the tiny airways in the lungs. This results in heavy coughing, breathlessness and phlegm.  In this blog, I will reveal the deets about Ayurvedic treatment for Bronchitis – the causes, symptoms, remedies and more!

What is Bronchitis?

Bronchitis is a respiratory infection that affects the lining of the bronchial tubes through which air travels in and out the lungs. People suffering from bronchitis cough up thick and discoloured mucus. Bronchitis may be either acute or chronic.

What are the symptoms?

The signs and symptoms may include:

  • Production of discoloured mucus or sputum

Ayurvedic treatment for Bronchitis – Home Remedies

  • Stop smoking and wear a mask when the air is polluted or if you’re exposed to irritants, such as paint or household cleaners with strong fumes.
  • Use a humidifier because warm, moist air helps relieve coughs and loosens mucus in your airways.
  • Wear a face mask before you go outside.

A word of advice:

Yoga and pranayama go a long way in benefitting people with bronchitis patients. Regular Jalaneti is also helpful.

Sushma – 35 years – Professor.

I had been coughing for nearly a month. Normal cough syrups gave only temporary relief. My condition worsened and I could not go to work. A friend suggested that I consult with Dr. Brahmanand Nayak. After a week of medication, I felt much relieved and started going to work. I never expected this to happen so quickly. I believe in Dr Brahmanand’s treatment and recommend him to all my friends and relatives.
